Common Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

What is Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC)?
Oracle Cloud Infrastructure integration services connect any application and data source, including Salesforce, SAP, Workday, and ServiceNow, to automate end-to-end processes and centralize management. The broad array of integrations, with prebuilt adapters and low-code customization, simplify migration to the cloud while streamlining hybrid and multicloud operations. Oracle Integration has evolved into a unified Business Automation platform — connecting apps and data, automating business processes, and innovating with AI.
OIC delivers five core capabilities: Application Integration (‘prebuilt connectivity to all SaaS and on-premises applications, six times faster with machine learning mapping recommendations’); Process Automation (‘prebuilt integrations, run-ready templates, and visual designers to unify workflows across ERP, HCM, and CX’); Oracle GoldenGate (real-time data replication and stream analytics); API Full Lifecycle Management (design, build, promote, and secure APIs); and Kafka and Event Streaming (serverless, Apache Kafka-compatible event streaming). AI is now native across all palettes.
Users have native access to events and business objects in Oracle Cloud Fusion ERP, SCM, HCM, and CX to connect app-specific analytic silos and end-to-end processes such as requisition-to-receipt. OIC includes dedicated, pre-built adapters for each Fusion pillar — providing direct access to Fusion business objects and events without custom development. eAppSys implements these Fusion integrations across all four pillars: ERP, HCM, SCM, and CX.
Oracle Integration now includes native OCI AI Service activities within both the Integration and Process Automation palettes — customers can easily incorporate these services without additional configuration. Oracle will provide direct connectivity to orchestrate Oracle AI Agents from Fusion Applications AI Agent Studio and OCI Generative AI Agents. Oracle continues to expand its pre-built adapter library to include AI services from OpenAI, Anthropic, Meta, xAI, and Google. Machine learning mapping recommendations are also included in OIC’s core application integration.
