Azure Security,
Identity & Compliance

Azure security spans three layers — identity (Entra ID, Conditional Access, PIM), workload protection (Defender for Cloud, vulnerability management), and threat detection (Sentinel SIEM, Azure Policy, GDPR). eAppSys designs, implements, and maintains all three.

Common Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

What Azure security services does eAppSys provide?
eAppSys provides Azure security across six areas: Identity and Access Management (Entra ID, Conditional Access, PIM, Entra Governance, hybrid identity); Defender for Cloud (CSPM, Secure Score, Defender plans, JIT VM access); Microsoft Sentinel SIEM (workspace, data connectors, KQL rules, SOAR playbooks); Network Security (NSG, Azure Firewall, WAF, Private Endpoints, DDoS, zero-trust); Compliance (Azure Policy, GDPR/UK GDPR, Cyber Essentials, Purview, Compliance Manager); and Security Health Checks.
Zero-trust replaces the perimeter-based model with three principles: verify explicitly (authenticate based on all signals), use least-privilege access (just-in-time, just-enough), and assume breach (design as if already compromised). eAppSys implements zero-trust through Conditional Access, PIM, network micro-segmentation, Private Endpoints, Azure Firewall with TLS inspection, and Sentinel for continuous threat detection.
Microsoft Sentinel is Azure’s cloud-native SIEM and SOAR platform. eAppSys deploys Sentinel with a Log Analytics workspace, connects Azure, Microsoft 365, Entra ID, and third-party data sources, configures Microsoft-managed and custom KQL analytics rules, sets up Logic Apps SOAR playbooks for automated response, and provides ongoing alert triage, incident management, and threat hunting.
eAppSys implements GDPR and UK GDPR controls in the Azure architecture — data classification via Purview sensitivity labels, retention and deletion policies via Azure Policy, DLP policies in Microsoft Purview, SAR support processes, audit log retention, and data residency enforcement restricting deployments to UK Azure regions. Compliance Manager tracks regulatory assessment progress.
An Azure security health check covers: Defender Secure Score and findings; identity risk review (MFA coverage, Conditional Access gaps, privileged account audit, PIM adoption); network security review (NSG analysis, public endpoint exposure, firewall logs); regulatory gap assessment (GDPR, Cyber Essentials, ISO 27001); and a prioritised remediation register with critical, high, and medium findings and effort estimates.
