Oracle Fusion Cloud implementations require multiple phases: Unit Testing — individual configuration items in isolation; SIT — the implementation team validates all technical aspects; UAT — end users from all impacted business functions perform a go-live dress rehearsal including mandatory period-close rehearsal; Integration Testing — data exchange with third-party systems; Regression Testing — confirming functionality after quarterly updates; Performance Testing — system behaviour at production volumes; Data Validation — migration accuracy before go-live; and Security Testing — role-based access validation.
SIT (System Integration Testing) is performed by the implementation team to validate that all technical aspects work — configuration, data, interfaces, integrations. UAT (User Acceptance Testing) is performed by end users from all impacted functions as a dress rehearsal of all end-to-end functions, including a period-close rehearsal. Oracle Cloud Quality Standards describe UAT as ‘arguably the most crucial point of the programme’ because it is the final business validation before go-live — any failures here directly determine whether the programme can proceed.
