MaskIQ™ is an enterprise-grade Oracle-aware data masking product within the DMOne™ Cloud suite. It exists because every Oracle Fusion and EBS non-production environment — Dev, Test, UAT, Training, Sandbox — typically contains real personal data copied from production. Employee payroll records, bank details, National Insurance numbers, customer records. Every refresh copies it all again. GDPR does not make an exception for test environments. MaskIQ™ automates masking after every refresh so development, testing, and training teams always work with protected data.
MaskIQ™ uses five techniques: substitution (realistic but fictitious values), shuffling (redistribute real values between records), format-preserving masking (valid format, not real data — e.g. a correctly formatted NI number), tokenisation (reversible replacement), and nulling (remove entirely). Each is configured per field, with deterministic options to maintain referential integrity across related objects and multiple pods.
MaskIQ™ uses deterministic masking — the same input always produces the same masked output — so all related records reference the same masked value. An employee record is consistently masked across every table that references that employee. This keeps the data model internally consistent across all environments, making masked data reliable for integration and regression testing.
MaskIQ™ is designed to run automatically after every environment refresh, before any user, developer, or SI gains access.
