eAppSys implements the full Oracle Fusion reporting stack: OTBI (Oracle Transactional Business Intelligence) for real-time self-service analysis; Oracle Analytics Publisher (BIP) for formatted scheduled output documents; Financial Reporting Web Studio (FRS) for statutory financial statements from the GL balances cube; Oracle Smart View for Excel-based GL balance analysis; and Fusion Data Intelligence Platform (FDIP) for prebuilt KPIs, cross-functional dashboards, and predictive analytics with 3,000+ out-of-the-box KPIs.
OTBI is Oracle’s real-time self-service analytics tool — business users build analyses interactively from live transactional data using drag-and-drop subject areas, without writing SQL. Analytics Publisher (BIP) is for formatted output documents — invoices, payslips, statutory reports — scheduled and delivered automatically to specific recipients. Both tools are available in Oracle Fusion Cloud and serve different purposes. OTBI is for operational self-service analysis; BIP is for formatted, scheduled document output. Most Oracle Fusion implementations need both.
Fusion Data Intelligence Platform (FDIP, formerly Oracle Fusion Analytics, rebranded December 2025) is Oracle’s fully managed SaaS analytics platform sitting above the OTBI and BIP layer. It delivers 3,000+ prebuilt KPIs, ML models (attrition risk, cash flow prediction, anomaly detection), and cross-functional dashboards across ERP, HCM, SCM, and CX — with prebuilt data pipelines eliminating the need to build a data warehouse. As Oracle describes it: FDIP is ‘built on Oracle AI Data Platform to deliver a unified, fully managed SaaS experience for connecting, analysing, and activating all your business data.’ FDIP is best for historical analysis, cross-pillar reporting, and executive-level KPI dashboards — complementing OTBI for operational reporting.
Oracle Fusion provides module-specific OTBI subject areas: GL, AP, AR, Cash Management, Procurement, Fixed Assets (ERP); Workforce, Payroll, Absence, Talent, Compensation (HCM); Inventory, Planning, Order Management, Procurement (SCM); Project Control, Costing, Billing, Grants (PPM). EPM has its own reporting layer including Narrative Reporting, Planning dashboards, and Financial Consolidation reports. FRS is specific to the GL balances cube. BIP covers formatted output across all modules. FDIP covers ERP, HCM, and SCM analytics with prebuilt KPI libraries.
